Fair question
"Can't I Just Find This Free Somewhere?"
Probably. For hobby prints and novelty items, free catalogs work well. When a part has to perform (carry load, mate with hardware, hold a precise dimension), a near-enough model means printing it again until it fits.
A free STL, in practice
- Looks great in the preview. Overhangs you didn't notice until layer 80.
- The seam lands right on the face you wanted clean.
- Breaks on the first real load. Nobody thought about how FDM layers fail.
- Comes in 10mm when you need 12. Someone asked in 2023. No reply.
- "Needs M4 bolts." Which M4 bolts? How long? Good luck.
- Someone remixed a better version. It has 4 views. You'll never find it.

Why sizes, not scaling
"Why Can't I Just Scale One File?"
Scaling multiplies every dimension at once, including the ones that must not change. On a functional part, that quietly breaks the fit.
Interfaces Are Fixed
An M4 bolt hole, a bearing seat, a threaded insert, or a snap that mates with a real part has to stay its exact size. Scale the whole model and the hole no longer fits the hardware.
Clearances Stop Working
A 0.2 mm slip-fit gap becomes 0.3 mm at 1.5x. A press-fit turns loose, or a clearance closes into interference. The tolerance was tuned for one size, not a multiplier.
Walls and Strength Shift
Scaling up wastes material and print time; scaling down can drop a wall below a nozzle width or under the load it has to carry. Thickness should follow the job, not the whole part.
Print Features Are Tuned
Chamfers, reliefs, and print-in-place gaps are set for how FDM actually lays down plastic. A blanket scale throws those off, and you feel it on the plate.
So every StreamSolid size is regenerated from the parametric CAD model: the dimensions that should change do, and the interfaces that should not stay put. Pick the real size you need instead of scaling and hoping.

10 Custom Builds the moment you create an account, no card required. Each new size you unlock uses one Custom Build, whether you choose an existing preset or generate a custom size. Re-downloading an unlocked size uses no additional builds. The standard size stays free with no account.
What Is a Per-Model Unlock?
A one-time purchase that unlocks every size of a single model. You buy it from that model's page, where its price is shown. No subscription, and re-downloads and updates are free for as long as we offer that model.
What Does Pro Include?
Pro is coming soon. It will include unlimited sizes on every model and a commercial license while subscribed. Roadmap suggestions from a Pro account are marked Pro and listed first.
How Much Is Pro?

Do I Get the CAD Source Files?
No. Every plan delivers print-ready STL. Custom Size is how you get an exact size without touching CAD: set the dimensions you need and the model is built to order.
Can I Use These Files Commercially?
Pro is coming soon. A Pro subscription will include a commercial license that covers commercial, bulk, and wholesale use of your Pro downloads. Free and one-time-unlock downloads are for personal or internal use (not for selling printed parts), and the files themselves may not be shared or resold.
